Perquè dretes i esquerres?

Política i economia
Actualment, la política es divideix en esquerres, dretes i centres. Però, per què la dreta equival al conservadorisme i l'esquerra al progressisme?

L'origen se situa a França, durant la Revolució Francesa. Un bon dia, la noblesa (conservadors) i la burgesia (revolucionaris), es van asseure a parlar davant d'un jutge.
I es donà la casualitat de que la noblesa va seure a la dreta del jutge, i la burgesia a l'esquerra.
