Les torres de Collserola i Montjuïc

Per les Olimpíades de Barcelona del 1992 és va voler construir una gran torre de telecomunicacions que donés servei a l'Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona.
Es va fer un concurs per a escollir el millor disseny per a la torre, i va guanyar el disseny de Norman Foster, del qual van ubicar la seva torre a Collserola.
Però molta gent va preferir el disseny de Calatrava, que havia quedat segon; així que van fer la torre de Calatrava també a l'Anella Olímpica (a la muntanya de Montjuïc). L'emplaçament actual, però, no fa cap servei sinó que serveix per a decorar.
